Newsletter: October 2005 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN IRIS SOCIETY Inc.
Editorial I am writing this with one week to go before the show and convention. I’m sure all members are strolling their gardens every morning trying to evaluate which Iris will bloom at the right time. Some of us will be hoping for warm weather to speed up the arrival of our blooms while others will be wishing for colder weather so that their Iris will not bloom too early. I’m sure we’re all just hoping that we’ll have plenty of blooms to display on the day. So much work has been done by all members to make the show and convention a success. Hopefully all our efforts will be rewarded. Biscuits Although some members donated biscuits at the October meeting, we still need a few more for the K.I trip. It was also suggested that for those who prefer not to donate biscuits, that perhaps they could bring some kind of fruit cake which could be served instead. Please bring any donations and give to Natalie Houba on either the Saturday or Sunday of the show.
