Bus trips to some very beautiful gardens in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley have been planned and evening seminars will be held in the hotel where accommodation has been arranged. A Dinner at Warrawong Sanctuary followed by a twilight walk to view unique Australian wildlife will be offered to conventioneers. On Saturday and Sunday an Iris Spectacular Show will be held in The Shores Function Centre at West Beach. The Shores is a uniquely Australian venue quite different to the usual idea of a function centre. The show will feature many beautiful cuts of Bearded, Louisiana, Spuria, Dutch and other species iris plus some wonderful floral designs using iris. Garden clubs and Floral Art groups will be displaying their work including iris and Iris nurseries will have plants for sale as well as taking mail orders. For those wishing to take home something to remind themselves of Adelaide, there will be a wide variety of art and top quality crafts and clothing at the show, featuring - you guessed it - Iris. On Saturday evening following the show there will be a casual dinner at the Shores with a fashion parade, guest speaker and auction. The wind up dinner on Monday evening will be held in the hotel, home of conventioneers for the week. At the conclusion of the Convention a tour has been arranged to explore the Coorong, Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island with more gardens to visit and some unique wildlife and scenery to view. The tour will end back in Adelaide on November 6th after visiting the Southern Vales area where there are interesting wineries, crafts and eating places to explore and sample the wares.
